There’s something so quintessentially decadent about applying that iconic green face mask with sliced cucumbers over your eyes, hair wrapped up in a towel—a lush, white robe snuggling your body. It’s the ultimate at-home spa feeling that revives you (mind, body, and spirit) without breaking the bank.
But in our image-obsessed, social media-immersed society, we’ve veered far away from the real meaning of self-care and “wellness.” Now, there’s a mask for everything. There are peel off masks, and sheet masks, and 24k gold masks, and gel masks, and DIY masks, and LED masks, and character masks. Some are just innocent gimmicks, sure, but others are downright harmful for your skin. From harsh exfoliants that cause skin micro-tears to endocrine disrupting toxins, these ingredients (and the masks that use them) don’t deserve a spot in the beauty and self-care space.
So, when we were imagining what our first mask would be, we opted for tried and true ingredients that are simple, easy to understand, and most importantly, gentle on skin. Basically, if we couldn't explain what the mask does (with scientific proof) in one sentence, we weren’t going to create it.

What Is Bentonite?
Bentonite clay (also called volcanic ash) is a powerful earth-derived material that has been used for centuries by communities and tribes from the Andes to Australia.
Bentonite contains montmorillonite, one of the most studied clays in the scientific community, which carries a negative ion charge that attracts build-up, dust, toxins, fungi, and bacteria.¹ With a high concentration of magnesium, silica, calcium, sodium, iron, and potassium, bentonite magnetizes and extracts impurities while delivering a shot of nutrition to the skin barrier.

A little goes a long way! Apply a thin, even layer to clean, dry skin. As a wet mask, you never have to worry about that dry, tight, burning sensation that happens with most masks.
That means no ripping, peeling, tearing, or picking required. Leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes, then remove with water or a damp towel to reveal your newly refined skin.
Beauty should not equal pain! This gentle mask is suitable for all skin types. For best results, use three times a week.
