Super Simple Citrus Moisturizer

Super Simple Citrus Moisturizer

The bright scent of citrus always seems to bring smiles, even on the gloomiest of days. Breathing it in is like inhaling sunshine itself—evoking tropical summer mornings filled with new possibilities.

When you and your skin could use a bit of a lift, this refreshing, homemade moisturizer recipe helps you look and feel brand new again. The warm and invigorating fragrance makes for a perfect way to bring exuberant joy to the start of your day—or anytime you need to regroup and reenergize.

The natural ingredients in this recipe are something to smile about as well! Jojoba oil closely resembles the natural protective oils made by your own skin—and it’s chock full of nourishing vitamins to enhance your ageless good looks. Rich, creamy coconut oil is very well absorbed to provide lasting moisture and protection. In addition to its heavenly fragrance, the sweet orange oil has gently astringent properties to minimize pores for a fresh, glowing complexion. Finally, frankincense oil adds a touch of complementary peaceful sophistication to the overall scent, while boosting the moisturizer’s skin-renewing properties.

Ingredients:
• 2 tablespoons organic coconut oil (at room temperature)*
• 1 tablespoon organic jojoba oil
• 1 drop sweet orange essential oil
• 1 drop frankincense oil

Instructions:
In a small bowl, stir all ingredients together to combine. Store in a cool, dark place, in an air-tight container.

*Note: Coconut oil is very soft in warm weather, but it begins to solidify at cool temperatures. If you need to soften your coconut oil so it will mix easily with the other ingredients, simply warm it in the microwave for seven to 15 seconds, or melt it over a double boiler before preparing this recipe.
